What is APEX Tire Shine 2.0?

APEX Tire Shine 2.0 is a water-based tire dressing that delivers a stunning high-gloss finish once only achievable with solvent-based products. It is the upgraded formula: a deeper, longer-lasting wet look than the original 1.0, without the drawbacks of solvent dressings.

It is genuinely multi-purpose: use it on tires, exterior plastic trim, rubber, and even as an engine-bay dressing. Application is effortless — spray it on, level it out with a microfiber or foam applicator, and you are done. Available in a 16 oz bottle or a money-saving gallon.

  • Type: Water-based high-gloss tire shine
  • Finish: Deep, long-lasting wet look
  • Multi-use: Tires, trim, rubber, engine
  • Apply: Spray on, level with applicator
  • vs 1.0: Longer-lasting, higher gloss
  • Sizes: 16 oz or Gallon · Made in USA

Why it works

Solvent tire shines look incredible — and that's the trade-off people accept. Big gloss, but harsh chemistry and slinging. Water-based dressings were the safer choice, but they never quite matched that wet look.

Tire Shine 2.0 closes that gap: a water-based formula that finally delivers solvent-level gloss, lasts longer than the original, and works on far more than just tires.

Where to use it

Tires
Plastic Trim
Rubber
Engine Bay

Tires, exterior plastic trim, rubber, and engine bays. Apply to clean, dry surfaces and level with an applicator.

How to use

1. Make sure the tire or trim is clean and dry.

2. Spray Tire Shine 2.0 evenly onto the surface.

3. Level it out with a microfiber or foam applicator.

4. Let it set for a deep, long-lasting wet look.

Application tips

Always level it. Leveling with an applicator is what gives an even, no-sling, no-drip finish.

Clean rubber lasts longer. Strip old dressing and grime first so 2.0 bonds and the shine holds.

Layer for more depth. A second light coat builds an even glossier wet look.

How it works

Spray. Level. Shine.

1
Start clean. Make sure the tire or trim is clean and dry so the dressing lays down evenly and lasts.
2
Spray it on. Mist Tire Shine 2.0 evenly across the surface — tires, trim, rubber, or engine bay.
3
Level it out. Wipe with a microfiber or foam applicator to even out the coat. That step is the secret to a uniform, no-sling wet look.

One bottle, four jobs

Tire Shine 2.0 isn't just for tires. The same bottle dresses exterior plastic trim, rubber, and even your engine bay — a high-gloss, water-based finish across the whole car. Always level it out with an applicator for the most even result.

Happy Tires!

The crowning touch for my car was making the tires shine like the rest of it. I use your other products for the inside and outside of my car and just needed to complete the look with the tire shine. Looks fantastic! Will continue to use Apex products!

Looks great and works well

I live on a dirt road so dirty tires are a normal thing. I don’t like using tire shine normally because the dirt sticks to the tires with it applied. This stuff turned out great though! Even after a few days the tires are still shiny and clean.

Fantastic product! Goes on easily using the applicator supplied - even on the knobby sidewalls of an all-terrain tire. Does NOT sling off!
